Le Coup De Foudre or Love at first sight is a c-drama that was air on 29th April till 5th June 2019 on Tencent and Youku and reached 100 million views in just 13hours of its first aired episode.

Le Coup De Foudre is based on the novel ' I don't like this world, I only like you' by Qiaoyi. This C-drama lands in the genre of romance and comedy. The storyline of Le Coup De Foudre is not only youthful and touching but also has a realistic feel in it.

The main characters are Zhao Qiaoyi played by Janice Wu, Yan Mo played by Zhang Yujian, Zhao Guanchao played by Zhao Zhiwei and Hao Wuyi played by Ma Li.

The plot of the story is focused on Qiaoyi a bright, quiet, and optimistic girl who befriends her deskmate Yan Mo a self restricted, A-grade student that loves solitude. Yan Mo tires to avoid her friendship at first but eventually ends up being her friend and a sweet friendship blooms that turn into love on both ends but things go down for Qiaoyi as her family member gets in an accident and her plans for her future change. Yan Mo feels betrayed by the only person he let in his life and with whom he fell in love with.

They meet back and things take a hit start as Yan Mo is quiet but angry carrying a soft tender heart that melts on Qiaoyi. Qiaoyi and Yan Mo go From deskmates to friends, unfriend, colleagues, lovers, and so on.

Zhao Guanchao is Qiaoyi's twin brother and plays an important in boosting and supporting her and is always by her side, even though he plays a playboy character. Hao  Wuyi is Qiaoyi's best friend and helps her around but things get confusing for her when she has feelings for Qiaoyi's brother, who is also her good friend.

There are few other supporting characters out of which Fei Dachuan is the most prominent he appears as a tough bully and arrogant person but has a completely different personality from what he emits.

Le Coup De Foudre is well filmed and if you are a Chinese learner it is quite easy to understand without subtitles. The portrayal of Qiaoyi by Janice Wu is amazing her acting is lifelike and will make you cry. The drama is well distributed between flashbacks and memories from the past till the present along with great soundtracks that complement the moments well.
